Jean-Claude Lord is a Canadian film director and screenwriter.





The director died Saturday night from the complications of a stroke he suffered on December 30 Jean-Sebastiens son said in a message posted on Facebook on Sunday.



He is known for his work on Éclair au chocolat 1979 Bingo 1974 and Station Nord 2002.





Au milieu des années 1980, il a révolutionné la télévision québécoise avec la populaire série Lance et compte.



He was one of the most commercial of the Québécois directors in the 1970s aiming his feature films at a mass audience and dealing with political themes in a mainstream Hollywood style.
